We’d like to introduce LUISA – the new digital AI consulting service from LUNOS.
LUISA – short for LUNOS Intelligent Service Assistant – is a specially developed, intelligent agent designed to provide comprehensive and reliable support for all questions related to decentralized controlled residential ventilation, LUNOS products, and their components. LUISA is your personal point of contact, combining state-of-the-art AI technology with in-depth expertise, delivering only verified and fact-based information. Every answer is based on carefully selected, validated sources and is tailored specifically to the field of ventilation technology.
It doesn’t matter whether your questions concern product or price information, finding a LUNOS contact in your region, or technical issues – even complex technical topics and relationships are presented by LUISA in a way that remains clear and easy to understand. She adapts the scope and depth of her responses flexibly to your needs, ensuring an advisory experience that is both informative and efficient.
LUISA provides valuable tips for making the best use of your ventilation systems and operating them energy-efficiently over the long term. This includes guidance on regular maintenance and cleaning of filters and air inlets, proper device settings, and improving indoor air quality. We created LUISA for you so that you have practical support available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. She answers questions in real time and offers quick and reliable assistance – whether you are from a planning or architectural office, an installation company, or an end customer. How LUISA works and what to keep in mind is explained in the following guide.
How to use LUISA – a step-by-step guide
LUISA is available directly on our homepage www.lunos.de on every page. On the right-hand side, you will see a blue-and-white animated speech bubble icon. With one click, the chat window will open.
LUISA works with any internet-enabled browser, both on PC as well as on tablets and smartphones for mobile use on Android and iOS operating systems.
No, you can start using LUISA right away – without registration and/or password. However, please never enter personal data such as names, addresses, login details, account numbers, etc. LUISA will never ask for sensitive information!
Simply type your question in natural, everyday language into the input field "Write your message" – just as you would ask a LUNOS employee – and click “Send”.

LUISA analyzes your request and provides precise, easy-to-understand, and technically accurate answers within seconds.
If LUISA does not yet have the answer you’re looking for, just keep asking or instruct her to explain specific topics in more detail. If needed, LUISA provides detailed background information on air quality, technology, installation, or accessories.
If your request is too complex or requires personal consultation, LUISA will quickly provide a contact address for a LUNOS service partner near you – only your postal code is required for this.
With the ⟳ symbol (in the top right of the chat window, next to the X symbol) you can start a new chat (thread). This is useful if you want to ask different questions or start a new topic. A new chat means LUISA starts fresh and does not retain data from previous conversations in her short-term memory. This greatly improves response accuracy, especially if you ask multiple unrelated questions. Just give it a try! If you notice LUISA providing less accurate answers, it may be time to start a new chat. Clicking the X symbol in the chat window (top right) closes the chat and deletes the entire conversation.
LUISA automatically recognizes the language in many countries and responds in the language of the computer settings. Country-specific default settings may differ from this. If you would like LUISA to respond in a specific language, simply let LUISA know, e.g., “please answer in German” or “answer me in German.” Please note that LUISA contains country-specific settings. Both changing the language and changing the country-specific settings can cause the responses to vary (e.g., national standards references). The country-specific settings can be changed by clicking on the small flag icon for language settings (in the desktop version at the top right of the screen and in the mobile version by clicking on the three menu bars at the top right, then in the field that opens at the bottom left).
LUISA is available in many countries, but not in all. Market regulations, laws, and other factors unfortunately prevent LUISA from being freely available in all countries. LUISA is also available in different countries with varying levels of knowledge. For example, LUISA responds to questions about national standards, funding conditions, and other issues on a country-specific basis. In the USA, for example, different standards apply to home ventilation than in Germany, and LUISA must respond accordingly. The country-specific assignment is set automatically via the IP address and when visiting the LUNOS homepage (the website content also differs depending on the country). If you want to change the country-specific content and answers provided by LUISA, please click on the flag symbol of the corresponding country in the navigation bar at the top right of the screen (in the desktop version). Changing the language will adjust both the website and LUISA accordingly.
If LUISA is accessed from different countries, LUISA responds in a country-specific manner. For example, different specifications, building regulations, standards, or requirements apply. LUISA automatically takes this into account. LUISA automatically recognizes the country from which it is being accessed. The country settings can be changed and customized to your preferences by clicking on the flag icon at the top right of the screen (in the desktop version). Always use the country setting from your country to get the best possible answers to your questions.
Sometimes LUISA's responses take a little longer. This is because we have integrated various security levels into the user interface and internal processing steps to comprehensively protect both your data and our systems while ensuring the best possible output quality. Many well-known AI services, such as ChatGPT, provide answers directly during creation using a process known as streaming. This creates the impression of an immediate response, even though the system does not yet know what the complete answer will look like, nor whether it is complete, correct, or even permissible.
LUISA deliberately works differently. Each answer is first created in its entirety, temporarily stored on our servers, and then automatically checked. Among other things, this involves checking whether all requested content is included, whether the results match our data sources, whether all security guidelines have been complied with, and whether the output is permitted in this form. Only when this check has been completed is the response sent to you in one piece. If discrepancies are found, the system triggers further data searches depending on the nature of the problem, discards partial results, or blocks an output completely.
This additional quality assurance process can lead to slightly varying processing times depending on the situation, even for identical requests. LUISA does not have any pre-written text modules, but generates each response individually and often with small variations, similar to a human conversation partner. All these steps help to ensure that you receive reliable, secure, and accurate information.
The message indicates that LUISA is sending her responses via port 50081 and that this data stream is not reaching the device. This does not necessarily mean that there is no Internet connection, but rather that certain firewall settings may be preventing data packets from being received via this port. This gives the impression that LUISA cannot access the server or that data is unavailable for “other reasons.”
A reliable way to check this is to use another device, such as a mobile phone with Wi-Fi disabled. If LUISA works there without any error messages, the cause is most likely a local firewall or security setting on the original device. In this case, it helps to enable port 50081 in the firewall or to inform the system administration with this information so that the appropriate adjustments can be made.
LUISA supports you in a wide range of topics relating to LUNOS, our products, our services, and general home ventilation. She has a comprehensive database and is designed to provide helpful and accurate information in almost any situation. This includes simple searches such as looking up prices, item numbers, or documents, as well as detailed technical information about products, such as sound levels, efficiency ratings, volume flows, or complete data sheets.
LUISA is also the right person to contact for practical questions. She provides information on work preparation, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of our systems. She can provide targeted support in troubleshooting by explaining possible causes and appropriate measures. In addition, she helps with the selection of accessories, external covers, switches, control functions, or generally with the search for suitable devices and components. On request, LUISA also compiles all relevant information that is helpful for an upcoming construction site and shows users how to make the best use of their devices.
Simply talk to LUISA as you would to a real person and ask your questions as they come to mind. Her knowledge and skills are continuously expanding, so you can benefit from new information and functions on an ongoing basis. You can always rely on LUISA's statements, as her answers are based on a verified database that has been specially prepared for and by LUNOS. LUISA does not work with uncontrolled information from the open internet or general AI systems, but with clearly defined, professionally verified content compiled by LUNOS, which is regularly updated and expanded (in this case, not by AI systems, but by our engineers, who carefully select each piece of information and only add it to the database after it has been checked). Each answer is generated in full, analyzed internally, and compared with our stored data sources before it is output. This ensures that the information provided is (as far as possible) correct, relevant, and secure.
Nevertheless, an important principle applies to all AI consulting: AI is a highly sophisticated tool, but it is not an infallible system. In individual cases, it may misinterpret facts or weigh information differently, especially if the underlying data is very complex or the question is phrased in an unusual way. We therefore recommend using LUISA as a highly competent digital consultant whose information is accurate and reliable in the vast majority of cases, but who – like a human consultant – occasionally needs to be adjusted or supplemented.

Each IP address can submit up to 20 questions per hour. After that, the counter resets automatically after 60 minutes. LUISA is primarily a service for end-customer inquiries, such as users or prospective clients. Extended solutions without such limits will soon be available for professional use, such as by planning or architectural offices as well as installation companies.
What LUISA can do – and a chatbot cannot.
LUISA is not an ordinary chatbot. Conventional chatbots usually work on a simple principle: they recognize certain keywords and provide pre-prepared answers. This works for very simple questions – such as “How long is the warranty?” or “Where can I find the user manual?”. But as soon as the question becomes more complex, context is missing, or multiple requests are made at the same time, classic bots quickly reach their limits.
A normal chatbot, for example, does not understand when someone mentions several topics in a single sentence. It cannot ask follow-up questions when information is missing, and it does not know whether the user prefers to speak German or English. Even with tasks such as registering for training, explaining device settings, or simultaneously answering technical and organizational questions, a simple bot is overwhelmed.
LUISA, on the other hand, recognizes connections, asks follow-up questions, suggests solutions, guides users through processes – and adapts to them along the way. Whether it’s about language, expertise, or a specific request: LUISA thinks ahead, remains flexible, and ensures that customers don’t just get answers, but real help. That is the difference between a reactive text box – and a true digital assistant.
What can LUISA do – and what makes her special?
Our visitors don’t always write in clear keywords, but in everyday sentences, e.g.: “My fan is making strange noises, could it be the filter?” – LUISA immediately recognizes the issue. She politely asks whether it’s, for example, an ego device, explains possible causes, and directly shows how to check or replace the filter. No guesswork, no complicated menu navigation.
If someone is interested in training or a webinar, LUISA immediately understands what it’s about – whether it’s a product training for specialist partners, an application introduction for a planning office, or an info webinar for end customers. She helps find the right option, explains the differences between the formats, and guides interested users step by step through the registration process. And if questions arise – about content, target audience, or duration – LUISA clarifies them directly in the chat, clearly and understandably.
Our customers don’t think in single questions. They may want to register for a webinar, at the same time know how to change a filter, whether the right spare part is available for their device – and how to correctly set the ventilation unit, e.g. for summer, high humidity, or night mode. Preferably all in one conversation. For LUISA this is no problem. She keeps track, addresses all concerns, explains clearly, and ensures that no question remains unanswered in the end.
Whether in the evening after work or on the weekend – LUISA is ready. She is available around the clock, always polite, patient, and quick. And if things get more complex, she can also prepare the request so that our service team can take over specifically during office hours.
If desired, she can even access our systems directly: for example, to provide information, fill out forms, or actively guide the customer on the way to a solution. This not only saves time but also ensures a smooth experience – and a good feeling for the customer.
No matter whether you write in German, English, French, or another language – LUISA reliably understands the request and identifies what it’s about. Perfect wording or technical terms are not required. Even with colloquial language, short keywords, or mixed languages, LUISA remains confident. And even better: if desired, LUISA replies directly in the user’s language. This ensures more comfort, better understanding, and a positive user experience – completely without language barriers. Especially for international customers, planners, or specialist partners, this is a real added value, as LUISA is ready for worldwide use – without adjustments or additional configuration.
Not every customer concern is simple. Some users don’t even know exactly how to describe their problem. LUISA stays calm in such cases, asks specific questions, suggests possible causes, and guides step by step to the solution. She always gives the user the feeling: "You are in the right place – I will help you." This builds trust and lowers the threshold for reaching out at all.
Data protection when using LUISA.
We want you to feel safe when interacting with LUISA. That’s why protecting your data has the highest priority at LUNOS. We have designed our AI assistant LUISA to provide you with maximum security during use. This is done in full compliance with our well-known and always accessible Privacy Policy, which transparently explains how we handle and protect your personal information.
What does LUISA do with my data?
Since using LUISA does not require a login, no personal or sensitive information has to be entered. Access data or passwords are also never requested. In the Terms of Service it is explicitly stated that no personal data should be entered into LUISA’s input fields.
Your entries are used solely to answer your questions through LUISA. Complete chat histories are not stored and are not linked to your identity or technical characteristics such as an IP address.
LUISA is exclusively an output system. This means: she does not learn from your inputs, and no data is used directly for training purposes. All entries are only available for the duration of an active chat and are used solely to answer your questions in exactly that chat. The mentioned storage and analysis of questions (see below) also takes place in a completely separate system, which is not connected to LUISA’s databases or language models (LLMs). Therefore, there is no feedback loop from your inputs back into LUISA’s system.
Usage takes place via any browser in an app with https encryption. This means: all inputs and outputs are encrypted between your device and our server in Falkensee (Germany).
The processing of your inputs takes place partly on our own servers in Falkensee and partly on rented resources according to the requirements of the respective language model (LLM) used. Currently, we use server capacities from OpenAI, among others. A contractually secured framework guarantees that no data is stored, accessed, or further processed there.
Your data will not be passed on, not sold, and not used for other purposes.
LUNOS only temporarily stores the submitted questions. Approximately every four weeks, these are evaluated by our system administrators, strictly in compliance with our Privacy Policy. The purpose of this evaluation is to identify possible knowledge gaps in LUISA’s databases and close them with the help of our experts. Chat histories or LUISA’s outputs are not taken into account. The mentioned evaluations take place exclusively in a separate system not connected to LUISA. This ensures that LUISA remains completely independent of user inputs.
If sensitive or personal data is accidentally entered into a request, it will be anonymized and deleted by LUNOS immediately. It is guaranteed that it will not be used for other purposes.
We have no interest in your personal data. Our only goal is to continuously improve LUISA and ensure that you reliably receive answers to your questions. Your data is as safe with us as technically possible.
