The ALD: Outer wall air vent for all applications

Supply Air Element Series

The ALD is an outer wall air vent. Outer wall air vents are used as passive air diffusers for living rooms and bedrooms. They are mainly used in combination with the exhaust air units of the Silvento range. These extractors create a constant negative pressure that transports fresh air into the house via the outer wall air vents.

Special features

The ALD is our outer wall air vent for all applications. It has proved particularly suitable for use in living rooms and bedrooms.

Installation

The insert is fitted into the round duct 9/R 160 (ø 160 mm). The electrical connection is not required, as the ALD is a passive supply air element.

The comfort in the living rooms depends to a large extent on the positioning and condition of the outer wall air vents. The ALD is therefore equipped with wind pressure protection and a flow-optimised screen to enable draught-free, diffuse air inflow. Nevertheless, the installation position must be carefully planned. If the incoming air is heated as quickly as possible and outside the occupied zone, there is no risk of draughts. Therefore, an optimal arrangement of the ALD in relation to the heating surfaces is necessary.

In this video, we explain how an existing ALD can be easily replaced with a new fan with heat recovery in order to upgrade the building technically and energetically and save money and energy at the same time.

Extra

Our outer wall air vents ensure user-independent ventilation in accordance with DIN 1946-6 when planned in accordance with the standards.
