New Guidelines on the BEG

The funding guidelines for the “Federal Funding for Efficient Buildings (BEG)” have now been finalized following inter-ministerial coordination. As planned, the grant option of the BEG Individual Measures (BEG EM) will launch at the BAFA on January 1, 2021, replacing the corresponding funding categories of the “Heating with Renewable Energies” (MAP) market incentive program, the Energy Efficiency Incentive Program (APEE), and the Heating Optimization (HZO) program.

The BEG EM and the related amendments to the MAP and APEE have been published in the Federal Gazette. The BEG guidelines for residential buildings (BEG WG) and non-residential buildings (BEG NWG), which will not take effect until July 1, 2021, will be published shortly.

Applications for low-interest loans and grants for energy-efficient homes and buildings can continue to be submitted to KfW under the “Energy-Efficient Construction and Renovation” program until June 30, 2021, to ensure that end customers do not face a funding gap until these support programs are replaced by the BEG.

To the Guidelines.
